Caught
in an unrelenting rainstorm, a combined sewer at a Massachusetts wastewater
treatment facility was damaged and flooding. The liquid-handling
emergency required an immediate bypass and they needed a reliable pumping
system supplier. A call to a nearby pump rental company resulted
in an inadequate solution to the problem.
The upgrade and repair of the two up-flow screw pumps at the facility required a 24 to 26 MGD bypass pumping system, which proved too difficult for the rental pumps. As weather worsened, so did the system's performance. Rain turned to snow and the customer's needs were not being met.
The WWTF made a late night emergency call to Rain for Rent, Boston for a second opinion. Rain for Rent responded with a complete engineered solution, a technical design, a commitment to perform, and no hidden costs. The four smaller pumps were replaced with two 16-inch DV-400 Power Prime™ pumps with a capacity of 27,000 gpm that were set up within the tight snowy quarters of the job site and remain there for the duration of the infrastructure repair.
Make Rain for Rent your first call for a proven, engineered bypass Solution.
